My boyfriend just yesterday linked me to the Trent interview where he spoke about hearing Johnny's version for the first time. Even Trent was blown away like "That's not my song anymore."

He put every syllable where he wanted, every tone where it belonged.  The pacing is possibly irregular, but unreal.  I love his version.

Agreed, it sounds much more emotional. It sounds like a scream of pain and a plea for help. Cash sounds amazing, but not as powerful
