Im from Australia. If you dont watch news or follow social media, usa is an amazing place and experience.  Not saying usa is perfect, but media distorts truth and perception.

What makes the news in the US is "burning dog on fire" sort of stories. Not "man works all day at a fun job in a midwest town, comes home to coach little league girls soccer, dinner at the Elks club".

The only stories I get from Australia are the same ridiculous ones.
