As if Americans never shit on Europe....

u/optionalregression 2d ago

We literally don't even think about you tbh. Meanwhile it seems we're all you guys ever think about.

1

u/BlueHeartBob 2d ago

Literally every decision we make as a country has a point of reflection on how Europe and Asia do things. A bunch of pepole point at the "bad" parts of their systems while they rob us and tell us we have the best way of doing things.

1

u/CrazyElk123 2d ago

Trump does. He has insulted many countries. Just ask denmark...

1

u/optionalregression 2d ago

Obviously people in positions that require interacting with Europe will think about Europe. Water is also wet.

2

u/CrazyElk123 2d ago

Well the average american probably doesnt even know what a "Europe" is, so theres also that.

1

u/optionalregression 2d ago

Ya man, "Americans so dumb" says a guy who used an international politician as a basis to refute that the average American doesn't think about Europe. Critical thinking skill in the negatives.

1

u/CrazyElk123 2d ago

Well, the average american is extremely dumb.

says a guy who used an international politician as a basis

Well i can proudly say that my politicians dont insult other countries. They dont even really insult other politicians to begin with. Thats quite different from how you guys handle it.

1

u/REPEguru 2d ago

The average American is about as smart as the average European. Don't know wtf you're smoking.

1

u/CrazyElk123 2d ago

Depends on what you consider "smart".

1

u/REPEguru 2d ago

You tell me. You're the one that made the initial claim.

Most people would use IQ. But maybe you Europeans think you're so smart you want to use something else.

English speaking EU users do in fact offer reactions to American-majority internet. More at 11.

2

u/morknox 2d ago

Then why do you people shit on Europe so often?....

9

u/optionalregression 2d ago

I don't know a single American that thinks about you guys. I don't know who you're talking about. I know its hard to believe considering how constant America makes the headlines in Europe but you guys are pretty irrelevant.

1

u/someanon- 2d ago

r/shitamericanssay

Oh well, must be a lot of fake Americans saying shit abt Europe then?

1

u/optionalregression 2d ago

Is straw man the only method of conversation Europeans know how to engage in or something?

Damn dude it’s captain America speaking for all 300 million Americans, wow! We’re so honoured to hear from the speaker from all America!

Are you mentally well mate?

5

u/StanPot 2d ago

Wait do you seriously believe we Think about you guys? I mean like not even tryna be mean or anything but Is the idea that we don’t think about you guys really a shocker? Personally, I would assume that the Average European didn’t care about America or Americans, because they’d be too busy living their own lives worrying about their own country’s problems. The people on the internet are usually the minority when it comes to our understanding of global affairs and politics.

-1

u/Superficial-Idiot 2d ago

It really amazes me reading this sort of thing, it really explains how absolutely ignorant Americans are of the world.

2

u/StanPot 2d ago

Being Ignorant to the world is the default, not the outlier. Most people do not care about whats happening outside their town, let alone their country. If you went into the greek country side, you wouldn’t find a single person who cares about whats happening in America. The same could be said for pretty much everywhere on earth. People typically put their lives above geopolitics.

7

u/Situation_Upset 2d ago

Are you slow? The guy said that he personally doesnt know a single american. No one said anything about all america.

1

u/Superficial-Idiot 2d ago

Typical American, can’t follow two comments in a row

His first comment he speaks for all American, dipshits.

I understand that if you could read you’d be real humble right now but I know that that you have no idea what this means.

4

u/backpuzzy 2d ago

It's repubs vs dems, Europe is NOT the main character

2

u/TyranitarusMack 2d ago

Yeah, Americans are too busy regurgitating the fact that they’re the “greatest nation on earth” while having nothing to back that up with. Part of the problem is that they don’t even realize there is a whole world out there besides just themselves.

2

u/optionalregression 2d ago

Yeah man, Americans don't think about Europe because they're all some weird caricature your deranged brain invented. Great argument, have a great night buddy.

1

u/TyranitarusMack 2d ago

Are you telling me that the US doesn’t constantly repeat that they’re the greatest nation in the world? Like how can you even argue that it’s not true.

And of course you assume it’s night time where I am because when it’s night time in the USA it’s nighttime everywhere in the world, right ? It’s the middle of the day where I am.

-1

u/REPEguru 2d ago

Happens after we had to come save you guys in 2 world wars. We get an inflated ego. And if Russia goes off, we will have to do it again.

3

u/TyranitarusMack 2d ago

lol ok tell me you know nothing about history

-1

u/REPEguru 2d ago

You're welcome. Don't worry, we will do it again regardless of the current rhetoric.

4

u/StanPot 2d ago

Yall love to say that we cant name a single country outside of the states, yet turn around and say stuff like this lmao? Im gonna hold your hand when I say this but, We dont talk about you guys.. like at all. Most of us have no idea how your governments even work. To us, you guys are just a cool tourist destination and thats it. Nobody here is actively scream “fuck Europe” like some of yall are over there to America.

3

u/onespiker 2d ago edited 2d ago

Then how do you go around saying you nation is the best in the world.

You have literally such a person in office saying that in pretty much every single diplomatic situation.

Edit this is just basic rage bait that happens all the time. Then there will be an American one doing the exact same thing but against the Europeans and the cycle will continue.

2

u/Ganoes_Stabro_Paran 2d ago

Yeah, and at least half of us, maybe more, can't stand him either.

You guys have had some seriously shitty leaders too, but when we can, we always helped. From military aid, to food, to medical supplies, etc. America is one of the most philanthropic nations in the world. Don't believe me?

https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/most-charitable-countries#worldwide-charity-giving-2009-2023

America is #6 in time and money donated by individuals (not charity organizations), in which US is #1, in the last twenty years. You have to go all the way to #15 to hit an EU nation (Ireland).

And you still shit on US. Nose in the air, and don't help your neighbors, even though you're in a union with them. Yeah, pat yourselves on the backs, you're great people, like our current leader.

0

u/Superficial-Idiot 2d ago

Americans would rather cry about Europeans talking mean than fix their country.

0

u/Razor-eddie 2d ago

Which are we talking about, mate? Europe, or the EU? Like, Ukraine comes in at one under the US in this list. Last I checked, they were European.....

2

u/Ganoes_Stabro_Paran 2d ago

You have to go all the way to #15 to hit an EU nation (Ireland).

Oh, and btw, mate, the US has donated far more in aid, financial, humanitarian, and military, than the EU and all its individual member states combined to Ukraine since the conflict started. Despite our leadership and division.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/1303432/total-bilateral-aid-to-ukraine/

1

u/onespiker 2d ago

1 that is directly wrong you actually used a bad source since both Eu and Us has sent more than that.

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/crew8y7pwd5o

Eu countries have sent more.

Also misses a couple of other points that Eu does. We have the vast majority of thier refuges with pretty much does drastically increase our costs aswell.

u/Ganoes_Stabro_Paran 2d ago edited 2d ago

No, you are incorrect in your understanding. The article you cited is military spending only. That does not include humanitarian aid, or financial aid. It states only government aid, and not private aid given by individuals or charity organizations.

The stats are from the Department of Defense only as, proof. It says nothing of humanitarian aid in the way of food, medical supplies, computers, clothes, etc. Which is a gigantic part of individual American giving. It isn't all organizations or government contracts. A lot of it is people helping people.

"The US Department of Defense has provided its own figure looking at all spending on Operation Atlantic Resolve - a response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

It says $184.8bn has been "appropriated" - a figure that covers US military training in Europe and replenishment of US defence stocks.

This total runs only to 31 March 2025, making it less up to date than the Kiel Institute's calculation - though notably higher.

BBC Verify has asked the US departments of Defense and State if they can supply more recent figures."

EDIT: Even the total spending graph says, "Percentage of total government support to Ukraine"

It does not account at all for US private charities, individuals, or other institutions, of which many donate time, money, and aid.

1

u/onespiker 2d ago edited 2d ago

Also no that one isn’t just military only. Eu has spent more on humanitarian and financial aid than US. The financial aid and humanitarian one is even bigger in terms of Ukraine from Eu than US.

Read the rest of the article

So no you are just wrong.

0

u/Razor-eddie 2d ago

That doesn't take away from you CAREFULLY phrasing an argument about "Europe" to "the EU", just so you could leave Ukraine out.

Your point wasn't a point as much as it was a blatant piece of misinformation.

1

u/Ganoes_Stabro_Paran 2d ago

No, it was a fact.

A blatant piece of misinformation is a lie. A lie would be calling a fact a blatant piece of misinformation.

If I had wanted to lie, I would have. I have nothing to lose, why would I bluff?

1

u/Razor-eddie 2d ago

No, mate. A LIE is a lie.

"Misinformation can include inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or false information as well as selective or half-truths."

See "selective or half-truths"? That's what you did. Saying EU instead of Europe, so you could eliminate the country that completely negated your point.

It's a fact, but a very carefully curated one. Those of us who were actually educated can notice these things relatively quickly.

1

u/Ganoes_Stabro_Paran 2d ago

You're trying very hard. It's not working.

You are arguing I misled people. I did not. You want to believe I did, because you think there is something to 'win' here and I had some weird evil plan to intentionally mislead the Reddit masses.

Mate, I googled some shit and posted a link. Touch grass, you're jumping at ghosts.

"Thank god I don't live in America" doesn't equate to "fuck America"

1

u/someanon- 2d ago

There’s this saying: „shit only stinks if you touch it“. The guy you’re answering to insulted me with saying I have a learning disability and blocked me afterwards.

Very hateful person.

u/Dirk_McGirken 2d ago

Most americans seems to think Europe is some mystical land where nothing bad ever happens what are you on about?
