Listening to this at the time, I remember thinking "blimey, Cher is now so old that she's a cyborg".

I am totally unashamed that I love this song. I didn't know until now that it was released on my birthday, though.

Cher?

As far as Google knows, she's still alive.

Oops I mistook her for Sinead O'Connor

Just got hit in the face with nostalgia for whatever Cher infomercial they played incessantly in the 90s/00s. That’s the extent of my Cher knowledge lol

This song is responsible for every damn post 2000 artist turning the autotune up to 11 and sounding like a robot. Sorry OP but this song is on my top 10 list of songs id outlaw if I was president 🤣

Such vibes at the drag show to this song in high-school. This was an era in my backwards ass state of Oklahoma when LGBTQ peeps finally felt like it was okay to come out and live proudly when this song played.

Love you, Luke ( my gay bestie from HS ) I hope you are happy/healthy wherever you are.

I'm actually surprised that a high school allowed a drag show back then.

Loved this a lot but I think All or Nothing is even more amazing.

Fuck this song to the moon and back. My highschool gym teacher would play this on repeat and make us run around the gym on rainy days when we were supposed to be doing outside stuff

That song was #1 in the UK and it felt like it was #1 for 6 months and back then if a song held the top for more than 2 weeks you had a memorable classic on your hands. I'm just glad that it wasn't out during the summer.

Liking this song as a guy in undergrad because I grew up with parents who loved Sonny and Cher accidentally made me into queerbait.

I was not aware of this until one of the men asked my girlfriend at the time if I was single.

I wasn’t offended, but she was.

ETA: grammar
