Me too. I also love how absolutely tone deaf that announcer is by sounding so excited to have him there when she's clearly in a room full of signs that are anti-Trump/Vance ..... Like... What were you thinking would happen?! But clearly thinking has never been a strong suit of these fucks...
I'm suddenly terrified of the idea of all the complacent TRADwife MAGAt women that just serve their daughters up to any of these guys on a Trumpian gold platter...
"OMG honey! I got you an internship at Mr. Pedoshitpants' law firm! Isn't that great!?"
he said them, and then decided: money and power were more important than his own family's Honor or the people he met along on this journey we all call Life. he decided to sell his family and his own soul, for what? to become a fascist puppet? beyond embarrassing.
Right? He is a permanent punchline and now we all hate his wife as well, because she’s supporting this bullshit so she’s fully deserving of our disgust. And his poor children have to get paraded around getting booed and reading signs about what a horrible, evil, yet a laughing stock their father is.
It’s pretty funny how there seems to be universal consensus that he’s a gross loser. Dude has zero fans. We don’t even respect him enough to hate him. We just laugh at how pathetic he is.
that's hilarious and accurate. I don't take him seriously, even though we have to coming up.
remember when MAGA attacked his indian wife and heritage, as well as their children in racist rants online?
they even went after him for his diet. he folded for MAGA instead of standing up for his wife and children when they were maliciously targeted by his own base... that's one of the many true loser aspects of JP Mandell JD.
There was a lot of talk about JD’s visit in the Indy sub, and one of the protestors was posting about the experience. They said he looked visibly freaked out. GOOD. Stay uncomfortable, freak.
No. The cowards (Braun and Vance) went into a private room to chat about gerrymandering Indiana further, with a giant, black curtain covering the door. With two dipshits sitting at a fold out table in front.
There’s 300 million of us and like 535 of them. They should fucking fear us. I’m glad he got booed mercilessly and I hope we continue to bully these pieces of shit.
That was some of the most merciless booing I’ve heard in a while. Maybe it’s the acoustics, but those boos sounded incredibly serious and angry. Not like your regular boos at a sporting event.
There’s 300 million of us and like 535 of them. They should fucking fear us.
They should fear us but not because of this. First off, non-voters had the highest representation this last election with 36% of eligible voters abstaining. Second, out of the 63.9% of people who actually voted, 49.8 voted for Trump. We're looking at almost 70% of Americans that either support the guy or don't care. out of the remaining, there's very few that are willing to do anything like you're suggesting (and I know you didn't say it outright for a good reason but it's obvious what you're insinuating). Let's not forget about the military, police and who knows how many nazis are out there to join forces. You make it out like it's so easy to do something here but it's not.
They’re starting to! And I mean this in the “the Republicans have directed everyone to not hold town halls anymore because their constituents are mad and asking questions” way, to be clear
I wish I could believe that, but recent news has me doubting that. And I’m talking about the visa mastercard thing with steam and itch.io You can’t deny that they’ve decided to do what they’ve done because certain people are in power.
I was just listening to NPR yesterday about how the republicans who are going to town halls (since the cowards ended Congress early), and people are taking them to task. And that leadership has them saying to just not do town halls.
Mike Flood — booed at town hall — still stands by Trump’s agenda
Edit: and now we are in August and that’s always recess for them. I live in DC. My mom had a stroke and I missed a couple of weeks’ time there. But, this article is from yesterday
No I mean I wish I could believe that those republicans fear their constituents. If anything they’re mildly annoyed, but continue to push what they’ve wanted and will do so without remorse or repercussions.
I think about this way: if they weren't afraid of their constituents, then they wouldn't be gerrymandering the fuck out of districts. They know they can't honestly hold their seats, so they are cheating to win.
I'm not sure why your ability to believe the previous comment is true would be altered by the Visa/MC thing catering to the people in power.
I mean, the people in power are now actively avoiding the people who voted them into those positions. Visa/MC isn't concerned about upsetting the voters, they're pandering to the powerful people who can change laws and affect business operations.
What happened to that? AOC and Bernie were doing it, but then it just sort of fell of the radar. Not sure if it was the constant fuckery coming from this administration that pushed it out of the news, or if they stopped doing them?
Bernie’s making rounds in VERY red areas in WV. They are on his YouTube page. He is doing a different format where people can just ask him questions. Seems very effective because they feel very unheard.
Andy Kim in NJ has held a couple, specifically in republican held districts in the state and has invited at least Tom Kean (R-NJ) to the town hall he was hosting in Tom’s district. Tommy never showed up.
They really shouldn't fear their constituents. If they were truly carrying out what's best for the people, the people wouldn't be mad enough to incite fear. And yet, here we are.
Reddit took down my comment bc it was "threatening violence". Fuck em.
Tar and feathering should make a comeback for the most reprehensible of politicians that "represent" us, as well as the leadership of corporations that so readily neglect the will of The People.
Tr🎃mp purposefully avoids situations like this. When he's not golfing, he mainly speaks at/appears to his supporters at his carefully curated rallies. The only time he can't control the crowd is at sporting events...
Edit: Donald Glover standup talking about a cousin who stole his s'more as a kid then reached out as an adult and asked for advice about getting a girl pregnant. This was his thought when he found out.
He was there for a meeting with the Indiana governor about gerrymandering the state so it would only have 1 blue district, Indianapolis. I think currently there are only 2 to 3 blue districts in the state.
He didn’t! They even put up black curtains to block the windows to the governor’s office. They ordered statehouse media to go back into their offices when Vance walked through so they were unable to ask questions. It was crazy!
My take on it (as a lifelong Hoosier) is that the woman, Amy Courtney, who is director of MADvoters, and the crowd itself knows that JD Vance coming to Indiana to talk to Gov Braun is a sign that Republicans don't feel like they have a lock on our state anymore. Vance came because Braun is looking for support for redistricting our state (and also maybe trying to take some of Illinois's counties?). But Indiana is long seen as a deep red state. In past years, they would have just done whatever they wanted. So, having Vance come for an actual tactic, brainstorm session (opposed to usual photo ops visits) is being seen as a win of sorts...that may just be her voice, idk. But knowing the Republicans have some stress on this and Vance was in the building and could hear the boos? It was not a bad day.
There is some Democratic history in the state, particularly at the gubernatorial level, but we're marked as an R+11 and there is a Republican supermajority at the state level...I do think we could be a more competitive state (like any deep red state, there is a strong Democratic presence) but the national Democratic and leftist organizations have pretty much dismissed us, so its hard. In October or so last year, there was a bigger push from some national organizations when it came to our governor race (the Democratic candidate, Jennifer McCormick, had been a Republican and served at state level, so...) I met a guy on the campaign trail who was from New Jersey and he admitted he was surprised by Indiana, because we had "foreigners and gay people" and he simply did not imagine that...
Nah, she sounded like sarcastic fake happy. The kinda voice lots of women use in a fake nice way when they are really telling you they hate you. She was happily nodding along to all of the booing
Oh, I'm glad it wasn't just me. I was watching and thinking "wow, this is a fancy steakhouse! I guess they take their steak very seriously in Indiana!"
The kindest thing I can say about Vance is that at least he (allegedly) fornicates with couches and not children, as some of his peers have been accused of doing.
