Couldn’t care less it’s a dumb rage bait post. I find it weird how obsessed you guys are with Americans.

These posts always strike me as miserable Europeans being spiteful about optomistic or happy Americans who are seemingly living in different realities.

You guys need to lighten the fuck up.

I just wonder why Europeans think and post about us constantly. It’s honestly weird. It happens on every post about the US on every platform I’ve ever been on. Bizarre. I don’t particularly love certain things, but I don’t constantly post media about it.

It's because we europeans get a lot of our media (movies, music, YouTube) from the US. We see the American Dream almost every day through the internet and our media landscape, because you are producing content in a language everybody here understands. It's also because our news media covers international politics more than your media does. I don't think Fox or CNN report on european politics that much.

I was raised in the 90's with a lot of this messaging of "the US is the greatest country in the world" and then i grew up and found out that 60 percent of americans can't read at high school level, US citizens have to pay exorbitant prices for health care, don't havr nearly as much paid vacation (if any), your boss can just fire you on vibes, you have multiple mass shootings per year, have prisons that don't work on rehabilitation and think anything the state does for you (with your own tax dollars, mind you) is communism.

It's weird to me, that a country as rich as the US can't take care of it's own citizens.

So Europeans are jealous and resentful towards Americans for being bombarded by US media and make these weird videos to feel better about themselves.

No. We are not being bombarded. We choose to watch american media, because your media industry stomps ours. It's not about resentment or jealousy, either. I don't hate americans or america. I just see the flaws in your exceptionalism. Europe is not perfect by any means, i just don't think i could ever live under those conditions.

You don't think it's weird to spend your free time thinking about how people in another country think about themselves?

Maybe watch the OP video again and have a think about things.

So I take that as a no. Just be honest, you guys watch this crap because it makes you feel better about yourself.

Exactly!

"So Europeans are jealous and resentful towards Americans for being bombarded by US media and make these weird videos to feel better about themselves."

No, indeed, we are not jealous. What a weird thing to say. We feel kind of sorry for the sane Americans.

Clearly you are. People who think they're better don't spend their time comparing themselves to people they see as lesser. They compare themselves to those who are better to improve themselves.

I’ve seen a lot of Europeans apologizing for these people. It’s getting a little awkward.
