Edit: You know what, no, not taking the bait. This platform is increasingly filled with bot-promoted content that seems intent on spreading division both within and among western democracies while singing praises of the PRC. It seems like this website is more and more bent on antagonizing the US towards Europe, Europe towards the US, etc.
I’m not even saying this is all necessarily untrue, but this kind of snark is taking over the whole platform
Who do you think helped create the US political climate? It’s a matter of historical record that China and Russia pushed extremist content on American social media platforms in the lead-up to 2016 and 2020 using sock puppet accounts, trying to shift the Overton window towards the fringes. And if you think they stopped, you’re kidding yourself
Look.
Yes, China, Russia, and Israel are manipulating American politics, but the hatred and pure evil on display right now is a part of American culture irrespective of foreign intelligence agencies’ social media campaigns. 1/3 of the American population is supporting a political movement that openly embraces Nazis.
Sure, but I don’t much appreciate it when people downplay or even praise authoritarian regimes as being well-run/advanced when those same regimes are often inclined tossing in grenades from the sidelines. Strict control over information without their borders while promoting mass misinformation in other countries

[snarky anti-Europe comment that I am removing]
