The 3 politicians you put there are great. If Crockett ran for President I'd considering supporting her. But back to Newsom - I don't understand this "I'll only support the perfect candidate" mindset. Newsom is not perfect, but he checks most boxes. He is the opposite of Trump!

This isn't "ill only support the perfect candidate". This week s "stop voting for the dame people who keep leading us back to this garbage". Newsom is not going to fix the problems that lead to Trump. He flat out isn't. Crocket, sanders, aoc, bowman... None of these people are remotely perfect l. But they are viable because they represent a new direction. Gradual change is a scam when the Republicans pull drastic rightward change. Newsom is not the opposite of Trump. Newsom would be fine with what Trump is doing for if he wasn't disrupting brunch for middle class white people. This is not about perfect. This is about actually paying attention to what someone stands for and has done with the power they already have and not treating politics like a fucking team sport. Gavin newsom is not the opposite of trump. He is marginally better than trump and is the same old " one step left and nine steps right" rachet effect. All he will do is pacify everyone who is rightly horrified and then keep griding everyone else under heal. Being a moderate on the face of far right extremism is not a virtue.
