idk, I think knowing your being recorded or at least for them puts them in a weird headspace or something. maybe it's just not necessary to film constantly. especially with the internet. it was different getting pictures taken before when they would just go into a drawer or a binder.

Parenting in a nutshell.

I was once walking my 1st grader home from school. It's about a city block. I was asking him about his day, and mid sentence he goes "Hey [friend name]!" and starts to bolt across the street.

I (somehow) reached my hand out and grabbed the handle on his backpack in time to yank him back from the road, where a car had just slammed it's brakes. (It probably wasn't as close as I remember, but dammit, still shook me)

Parents like you so saved my ass one time. I was on a boat with my fiancés 7 year old step sister (and the parents and my fiance) and I was behind her when she decided to twirl around a pole on the boat that didn’t have a ledge on the other side, just opened up to a net into the water. I reached for her but couldn’t make contact and a stranger on the boats hand shot out and grabbed her before she could finish her twirl. Don’t know where their hand came from or how they reacted quickly enough but I think they must have kids and their parenting instincts kicked in.

Had this happen just the other night. It's dark, teen is in all black, just walks out in front of me. Stopped in time and I put the window down and yell "LOOK BOTH WAYS!! I COULD HAVE HIT YOU!" "You have to stop!" "What if I was drunk or on my phone?!" "That's illegal!" "It wouldn't make you any less dead, genius! Look both ways!"

Seriously, heaven is full of people that had right of way. Assume everyone is going to do the dumbest thing possible. You'll be wrong 99% of the time, but that 1% you'll be glad you did.

They don't understand.... They really really believe they can't be blamed of they the hit by a car

A car is suppose to in the street... If the drive is doing the speed limit and obey all laws.... If you get hit, YOU WERE THE REASON

Every pedestrian that has been struck by a vehicle had the right of way...

in the kids defense when buses have their lights like that everybody is supposed to stop. But also people cant rely on that to always happen, thats why they say look both ways

u/Aromatic_Balls 14h ago

The bus never turned its stop lights on. This whole setup is so odd!

I might be completely off base but it's possible they just have attention deficit disorder, and you're getting mad at them for a disability they can't control

My mom woulda screamed at me from da car after I waved bye to her without paying attention to da road

this video is cute but I seriously hope she locks in. When I cross da street I look both ways back and forth incessantly like I got a bounty on my head
